Is CareAide free?
Yes, you can use CareAide for free. Upgrade to premium is optional, but it does provide awesome benefits, allowing you access to additional features, to redeem gift cards and bonus rewards just by following your medication schedule. Premium membership also allows you to manage medication for up to 5 family members.
What are CareCoins and CareBadges?
CareCoins are reward points that can be converted to cash gift cards – they are as good as cash so you can think of them as virtual in-app currency. You can earn CareCoins by recommending CareAide to friends and following your prescription schedule. However, you will need to upgrade to Premium membership to exchange CareCoins for gift cards from notable brands in your country. 

CareBadge represents your medication adherence and your status amongst other users. The better you rank, the more additional rewards you unlock. We assess your adherence every week. Everyone starts with Diamond CareBadge (the highest level) and retain the status as long as follow your prescription 100%. If you score between 90-99%, you get a Ruby badge. Maintaining Ruby CareBadge (or above) unlocks discount coupons and vouchers from our partners.

Do I have to upgrade to Premium to use CareAide?
No. You can use CareAide for free. However, a Premium membership unlocks some amazing features and are able to exchange their CareCoins to gift cards.
Can I add dependents if I am not a Premium User?
Yes. Registered users can add 1 dependent. You can even manage your dependent remotely; just add a dependent with their phone number and ask the dependent to download and register with CareAide on their own phone. Your dependent will receive a notification to accept you as the guardian. Once they accept, you can manage medicine schedule, appointments and measurements from your phone. The data on your dependent’s phone is synchronized back to your phone if they make any changes.
Can I cancel my premium subscription?

Yes, if you purchased a Premium subscription through an in-app purchase. If you have purchased it through one of our partners, please reach out to us. You can cancel your subscription from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Can I upgrade to a Premium membership using CareCoins?
Not at the moment. We are continuously working on adding new features that add value to you. Please reach out to us with the features that would make a difference and we will try our best to prioritize it.
Is my data private?
Yes, your data is transmitted and stored with industry-standard encryption. Rest assured, we take your data privacy seriously. Please read the privacy policy and terms and conditions on our website to understand how your data is used.
Why am I not getting notifications and pill reminders?
Please review your phone’s notification settings to enable Notifications from CareAide. If the problem persists, please contact us.
I have changed my phone number. Can I use my subscription with the new number?
Yes. Please go to your profile settings and change your phone number in the profile.
What is a remote care feature?
CareAide has been designed for family and friends to take care of each other even when they live separately. The remote care is a multi-device data synchronization and management features to allow families to care for their loved ones from afar. With this feature, your dependents can all have CareAide installed on their phone. You can add their medicine and manage their data remotely. If the dependent makes any changes, their data on your phone will get updated. When the dependent misses their meds, you get notified. For privacy reasons, only the guardian is able to manage the dependent’s data; dependents will not be able to view each other’s data.
What is CareAide?
CareAide is a medication adherence and care platform designed by health and care professionals with over 20 years of experience. Our philosophy is to empower families to take care of their chronically-ill and senior family members with the peace of mind they rightly deserve. The CareAide platform includes medication reminders for simple to complex health scenarios.
What is the difference between Guardian, CareFriends and Dependent?
Guardians are the designated caregivers. They can also be professional caregivers or a family member responsible for looking after other members of the family.

Guardians can add dependents (patients) to their account to manage their medications, even if they all live separately.

CareFriends are your family members, friends or caregivers who support the patient but are not responsible for the care. The CareFriends receive notifications when the patient misses their medicine schedule. We believe the support from CareFriends can provide the encouragement needed for the patients to stay on track. By default, CareFriends cannot see the medication schedule unless the dependent or the guardian allows them. Unlike guardians, CareFriends cannot modify the medication schedule – even if they are allowed access to it.

How many dependents can I add?
As a Registered User, you can add 1 dependent. Premium members can add up to 5 dependents.
How do I move my CareAide account to a new device?
You can install CareAide on the new device and log in using the same phone number and password. CareAide will automatically log you out of the previous device. This feature is only available if you are a Registered or a Premium member. Guest Users’ data is stored only on the phone, so you will need to input all the data again into the new phone. Please do register – it’s safe, free and provides great benefits.
Can I use my CareAide account on two devices at the same time?
No. Using two devices simultaneously for the same user makes medicine reminders unreliable. Please log in to a single device at a time, so you do not miss the medication reminders.
What is CareFriend?
CareFriends are your family members, friends or caregivers who receive notifications if you or a dependent forget to take medication. CareFriends, by default, cannot see the medication schedule unless the dependent or the guardian allows them visibility. Unlike guardians, CareFriends cannot modify the medication schedule – even if they are allowed access to it.
How is my data protected?

We take data security very seriously. The data is encrypted during transmission and stored securely – in strict compliance with HIPAA. Our teams do not access your data, and we do not share it with any third-party. We delete your data permanently if you do not use the app for more than 6 months.

What is a Premium version of CareAide?
CareAide is a free app. The Premium version is an optional upgrade that unlocks amazing rewards and features. For example, you can earn CareCoins just by following your own medication schedule, earn bonus coins at the end of every month and add up to 5 dependents.  There are plenty of more features and rewards to come for the Premium members.
Do my family and friends need to buy a Premium subscription too?
No, they don’t need to. Your dependents have access to all the Premium features, like exchanging CareCoins for gift cards. Except, your dependents are not allowed to have more than 1 of their own dependents.
What is a Trusted Local Supplier? Why is it not working for me?
We partner with reliable local suppliers of home, personal and healthcare products and services aimed at seniors and their caregiving families. We aim to make it easy for families to source trusted services in their local area. The feature uses your phone location to suggest recommended providers. Currently, it is only available in limited locations as it takes time to partner with reliable providers. If your phone location service is enabled and it is still not working for you, it means we are yet to roll out this service in your region.
What is an order refill? Why is the order refill disabled for me?
CareAide allows you to request a prescription refill our partner pharmacies in your area. CareAide is not involved in the delivery of the medication. This feature is currently available only in limited areas. We are actively working with our partners to expand this service to more regions. If you feel it’s important to you, please drop us a note at support@caringup.com and we will try our best to prioritise the feature for your area.

How do CareBadges work?
CareBadges are calculates how well you follow your medication schedule. Following 100% of your schedule wins you a Diamond badge (it is a starting point for everyone using CareAide). Between 90-99% adherence gets you Ruby, 70-89% – Platinum, 60-69% – Gold, below 60% – Silver.
Do I have to purchase Premium to have a CareBadge?

No. All registered users have a CareBadge. The diamond CareBadge (the highest level) is awarded to everyone upon registration. You can retain the CareBadge by following your prescription schedule.

Do I need to purchase a Premium subscription to use discount vouchers?
No. All registered users who maintain a Ruby CareBadge and above have access to our partner discount coupons. CareAide Registration is free.
Why do I not see discount coupons in Rewards?

There could be a few reasons. Guests Users don’t have access to discount vouchers. If you’re a Guest Users, consider registering – it’s free. Registered Users with a. Ruby CareBadge and above have access to the discount coupons. If you meet the above criteria and still do not see any coupons and vouchers the please drop us a note at support@caringup.com.

Who can earn CareCoins?
Both Registered and Premium Users can earn CareCoins. As a Registered or Premium user, you can earn 100 CareCoins by referring your friends. The CareCoins are credited into your account when your friends register an account with us. A Registered User can only spend their CareCoins to upgrade their membership to Premium. Premium members have plenty of benefits. They earn CareCoins by following their daily medication schedule. Premium members can also redeem gift cards from the CareAide Rewards page in exchange for CareCoins.

How do I earn CareCoins?
Referring your friends to download and use CareAide is the easiest and fastest way to earn CareCoins. Premium members have the additional benefit of earning CareCoins for every prescribed medicine they follow – the CareCoins are credited to them every day. Additionally, Premium members get 20% bonus CareCoins at the end of each month if they keep up their Diamond CareBadge for this period (e.g. maintain 100% medication adherence).
How can we use CareCoins?

A Registered User can only use their CareCoins to upgrade their CareAide membership to Premium. Premium members have plenty of benefits. They can use CareCoins to redeem gift cards. Premium membership offers plenty of benefits for the entire family. It unlocks additional app features and more opportunities to earn and spend CareCoins.
How to redeem gift cards using CareCoins?
Please go to the Rewards section of the app and select the gift cards. CareAide app will show you the details of the gift card. Press the ‘Get’ button on the screen. We will process your request and email you the gift card. If it’s a physical gift card, we will require your mailing address to post it to you.
Can I cancel the gift card I purchased with CareCoins and get CareCoins refunded?

Unfortunately, we are unable to do that.

Can I use CareCoins to pay for my CareAide Premium subscription?

Yes. CareCoins can be used to upgrade to a Premium membership. Simply go to the Rewards page, select the Upgrade option and press on ‘Get’.

Would you add other options for gift cards?
